Message to NEUST students

As students of NEUST, you are the foremost concern of this University. To enable you to successfully finish your chosen course as well as to assist you in your adjustment with new environment, mentors, fellow students, and staff of this University, you must be knowledgeable of the University policies, rules and regulations that will affect your academic and non-academic endeavors.

This Student Handbook is designed to provide information that will serve your interest and to keep you informed on matters that concern you as students, Its contents will provide you with useful information on student services and opportunities you can avail of while studying. In short, it was planned to make your stay in this University a meaningful and fruitful one, removing obstacles and challenges that you may encounter as you go through your studies.

The preparation and revision of the coverage and contents of this Student Handbook involved the participation of a Review Committee led by the Vice President for Academic Affairs, dean of the Office of Student Affairs and Services, deans and campus directors, heads of different units, academic council and student officers and representatives. All policies, rules and regulations contained therein were taken from the NEUST University Code, the 1990 CLPC Student Manual and other documents duly approved by the Board of Regents. The constitution and By-Laws of the NEUST Student Government is also included in this Handbook.

As responsible members of the NEUST academic community, you are expected to maximize the use of this Student Handbook for your own welfare and interest. By doing so, you can participate actively as effective members of this academic community and responsible partners of our University in achieving its vision and mission as an educational institution that brings impact to local and international communities.
